Gunpowder
Now, last but definately not least, gunpowder. Gunpowder was the first explosive, it was invented during the Tang dynasty by Talas monks in the 9th century. Gunpowder was almost immediately used against the mongols raider, they didn't use it an explosive at first, but was flammable, most weapons using this were flamethrowers. Later the uses for this powder became exponential, they created cannons, grenades and bombs. When china was conquered by the Mongols, everyone in the Middle East and Europe quickly adapted to this, in the long run the Europeans became for more superior than china and the middle east with this new technology, later creating guns. No doubt about it, gunpowder changed the world as we know it.
