Ancient Chinese Social Structure
Ancient china developed its own social structure and hierarchy unlike any other on earth. It consisted of four main groups, the Shi, the Nong, the Gong and The Shang, apart from the emperor at the top. Of course, like anything, there were minor changes like the Hans bringing feudalism to the country, and the Tangs imperial examination. Probably the biggest difference though is the Qings, they changed the hierarchy to have two main groups, the commoners, and the mean people, these were entertainers, government officials and prostitutes *Just o give you an idea*
